Yellow Fever vaccination is  generally recommended or required for travel to many countries in sub-Saharan Africa (such as Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Sudan, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia and Senegal) and tropical South America (such as Brazil, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Bolivia and Peru) where the virus is present. Some countries (especially in sub-Saharan Africa) also require proof of vaccination for entry if you are arriving from, or have recently travelled through, a country with a risk of yellow fever transmission. It is sometimes also a visa requirement.  If you're planning to travel, it's important to check the latest destination-specific requirements before you go.
