PHARMACY FIRST

Launched 31 January 2024. Free service for everyone. Available remotely via video call or by calling the pharmacy.

Six eligible conditions:

  1. Sinusitis

  2. Sore Throat

  3. Infected Insect Bites

  4. Impetigo

  5. Shingles (antiviral within 72 hours of rash onset)

  6. Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections (women aged 16–64)

Service conditions: Requires smartphone/tablet for video call (family member or carer may assist). Medication delivered free of charge. Standard NHS prescription charge applies if not exempt (£9.90 per item). If outside pharmacist scope, written referral to GP provided.

NHS CONTRACEPTIVE SERVICE

Pharmacists can now prescribe contraceptive pills FREE on the NHS. Available for continuation of existing GP prescription OR initiation following consultation (if previously prescribed). Consultation takes 10–15 minutes.

NHS MORNING AFTER PILL

(Emergency Contraception)

FREE on the NHS. Available without an appointment. Effective up to 72–120 hours after unprotected sex. Walk in for confidential advice and supply. Safe, quick, and discreet.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTION DISPENSING

We dispense all NHS prescriptions including repeat medications. We accept both paper and electronic prescriptions (EPS).

You nominate us in several ways:

  1. Yourself through the NHS app

  2. Through your GP or

  3. By contacting us in the many ways we offer (email, WhatsApp, telephone or website).

FULLY MANAGED PRESCRIPTION SERVICE

Suitable for elderly patients or those with complex needs. We order regular medications on your behalf directly from your GP surgery. Key patient information (from existing New Patients page):

  1. We order only regular medications — 'when required' items must be requested separately

  2. Allow 72 hours for surgery + 48 hours for pharmacy = allow 1 week before medication is needed

  3. Notify us of any acute medications (antibiotics etc.) before 12pm for same-day delivery

  4. Notify us of any new medications prescribed mid-cycle

  5. Notify us if any medication is stopped

  6. Notify us if hospitalised — we will pause ordering

  7. Notify us on discharge from hospital — hospitals typically only supply 14 days

  8. Deliveries only to address on prescription unless GP provides written authorisation

  9. Email delivery tracking provided — 1-hour delivery window notification at ~1pm

  10. For urgent same-day delivery: call before 12pm (Farnborough & Aldershot areas)

FREE DELIVERY SERVICE

Free prescription delivery for eligible NHS patients. Same-day delivery available locally (Farnborough & Aldershot) if requested before 12pm. Email tracking provided via delivery software.

Weekly or fortnightly medication management in dosette/blister packs. Following suitability assessment. Ideal for patients with dementia or have learning difficulties.
