It protects against 3 serious illnesses: measles mumps rubella (german measles) These highly infectious conditions can easily spread between unvaccinated people. Getting vaccinated is important, as these conditions can also lead to serious problems including meningitis, hearing loss and problems during pregnancy. Please note this is a live vaccine. As a general rule live vaccines can be administered on the same day or four weeks apart. If you have had a live vaccine recently please mention this to your clinician.
